Every year, Little Wings carries out hundreds of missions across New South Wales, offering free air transport to children living with serious illnesses in regional and remote communities. Behind every takeoff is a personal story of determination and the transformative power of access to hospitals and to medical specialists. These flights aren’t just about reaching a destination; they’re about giving children and their families the strength to keep going.

Little Wings remains steadfast in its mission to bridge the gap between rural families and life-saving healthcare. The logistics of navigating long road trips, balancing work and caregiving, and covering costs such as accommodation and fuel place enormous pressure on families already facing a complex medical journey. By providing safe, timely, and compassionate air transport, Little Wings lifts that burden, helping families focus on what matters most: the health and well-being of their child.

Thanks to the generous $50,000 sponsorship from Mounties Group, Little Wings has been able to expand its reach and help an additional 100 families this year — a tangible impact for children in regional and remote communities who need urgent access to medical care. This crucial support comes at a time when Little Wings receives no government funding and relies entirely on the goodwill of individuals, community fundraisers, and likeminded organisations to keep their planes in the air.

Mounties Group, with its strong track record of community investment, has played a direct role in enabling more missions, turning what could have been long, exhausting journeys into safe, timely flights for families in need. Their contribution not only offsets the logistical and financial strain for parents but also brings critical care within reach for children whose futures depend on it.

This partnership is a powerful example of how local organisations can step in to make a real difference. Every flight made possible by this support is more than a trip, it’s a lifeline. And for 100 more families this year, that lifeline will help ease the journey, lighten the burden, and bring healing one flight closer.

Looking ahead, Little Wings is focused on increasing flight capacity, expanding partnerships with children’s hospitals, and ensuring that even the most remote communities have equal access to care.
