Mounties Group | 2025 Clubs & Community Award Winner
4 July 2025

At this year’s ClubsNSW 2025 Club and Community Award, Mounties Group was pleased to be recognised in the Arts, Culture and Entertainment category for the ‘FAIRFIELD FASHION RUNWAY PROJECT’, created in collaboration with Think+DO Tank Foundation.
The July 2024 event saw more than 60 refugee women showcase their creations in a public fashion parade, helping to highlight their culture and foster social connections in the community. The products were then sold through community channels, creating economic pathways for the women to support themselves.
Mounties Group contributed over $36K to the project, in addition to in-kind support such as staffing costs, community transport, and marketing and communications.
Marian from Think+DO Tank Foundation said: “The Fairfield Fashion Runway Project took over 250 years of collaboration, learning and cultural exploration. Working alongside artists, participating women learned skills in fashion design, ceramics, and performance, while exploring themes of Land, Motherhood, and Spirituality. The project fostered deep connections and enabled participants to share their personal and collective stories through art. We are grateful to be able to collaborate, share and celebrate together with the support of Mounties Group.”
Dale Hunt, CEO of Mounties Group, said: “Being recognised through this award is just the finishing touch for this project – it has been so rewarding to see these women celebrate their craft, create connections with their local communities and support themselves for the future through this initiative that meets them where they are.”
This latest award builds on the rich history Mounties Group has in supporting its local communities, including marginalised groups, to contribute positively to the local cultural landscape and thrive in their communities.
